Why Sydney is its own beast.

Sydney has the highest tattoo CPMs in Australia (around AU$15–$22 average). The market is saturated. Newtown alone has more tattoo studios per square km than most cities have full-stop. That makes targeting brutal: broad "tattoo enthusiast" audiences burn through your budget fast.

What works in Sydney:

  • Tight geo radii

    5–10km from your studio rather than city-wide. Sydney clients usually travel less than they say they will.

  • Style-matched targeting

    Generic Sydney tattoo audiences don't convert. Style-specific audiences (Neo Trad, Black & Grey, Fineline) cut CPMs 30–40%.

  • Q1 budget loading

    Sydney CPMs spike in Nov/Dec retail season. We push spend in Jan–Mar when the auction is cheaper.

  • Inner-west creative

    Sydney audiences fatigue fast. Inner West and CBD especially. We rotate creative every 2 weeks vs the 3-week standard elsewhere.
